I have a question...

1. I thought the wedding ceremony was going to be at Beauvoir Park.

Yes, it's true. We've had a change of venue. You'll thank us when you feel the air conditioning.

2. I've heard it gets really hot and rains a lot in Louisiana. What will the weather be like?

Expect to sweat. The temperature typically varies from 71°F to 87°F and is rarely below 66°F or above 93°F. You can also expect rain.

3. Wait, so why are you having the wedding in Baton Rouge?
Evan used to live in Baton Rouge and Evan's brother, Garrett, manages a bar in town and has served as the wedding planner.

4. What should I wear to the wedding?

Despite the aforementioned heat, most people will be wearing cocktail attire. The new venue has air conditioning and fans.

5. Are my offspring invited?

Yes! If all the invited guests come with their children there will be around 20 humans under the age of 5 -- please bring them to all the events planned.

6. I'd like to give a toast or share a story about one of these people getting married. Is that okay?

Toasts are by no means required at the wedding but Evan and Sarah would love for you to give a toast or share a story about either of them. Please email sarahandevanswedding@gmail.com to tell them that you'd like to give a toast.

7. I can't get to Baton Rouge until Saturday evening. Is that okay?

Evan and Sarah look forward to seeing you but also understand that you probably have a job and other responsibilities that make it difficult to spend the entire extended weekend in Baton Rouge. Please come as you're able.

8. Are Evan and Sarah registered for gifts?

Evan and Sarah are grateful to you for spending the time and money to celebrate with them. Their small home happens to be extraordinarily well-equipped so they request that no gifts be gifted. For those who would prefer to celebrate by gifting they have registered for a few items at Amazon.

9. Okay, I'm coming! How do I get there?

The best way to get to Baton Rouge is to fly there. The Lafayette and New Orleans airports are each an hour away and there is no easy way in to Baton Rouge other than driving. You can also drive, of course. Baton Rouge is a convenient 20-hour drive from Denver and State College.

10. Is it possible to get around Baton Rouge without a car?

The public transportation system in Baton Rouge is not what it could be. There are taxis and shuttles that can transport you from the airport to the hotel - expect to spend around $20-$25.
